I did this sort of as a test. I'd never done this type of thing before, so I thought it might be fun. Turns out it's a lot harder than it looks, with really rounded parts and also extremely precise areas as well. I never did get it all right.

Nevertheless, here it is. I'll enjoy watching myself get better.

Done with HB and 6B charcoal pencils.

I don't how you do it.
Even though it may be a simple glass of wine, it looks terrific.

I'm so impressed you don't even know. I wouldn't know where to begin to make that look like liquid! You know I'm going to have to try that now! lol.

Well, I suppose your first step should be to not use charcoal for the first time, haha. Thanks for the compliment! Good luck on your endeavors. ;)

Thank you! And I'll remember that advice! lol. Maybe darken up a few shadows with the charcoal or something- I don't know. I'm in a basic drawing class at college right now, so I'm still playing with my skills and different medias.

Quite the change of pace from our usual style, no? :D

Imagine I had a vault of drawings like these, but I controlled the flow to keep the value high. What would you say to that?

I would have to reply that... (Ididn'tthinkyouwerecraftyenoughtopulloffsuchaw ell-plannedtrickofthatcalliber) that you were... brilliant and cultured. How future-minded you are to consider such things!

I was indeed. Our workers mine these drawings by the thousands in mineral rich waters of Sierra Leone, and from there they are smuggled (due to the ban on war profiteering) into Liberia, who then certifies them as being mined in Liberia and then sells them legally to us. And that's where the vault part comes in.
